A good conversation.
A new idea. What next?

I like seeing where it can lead.
In technology, in music and with people.

A little about me

Personal perspectives · Cologne / Bonn

Technology on my mind.Music in my life.

Technology and music find common groundStructured circuit lines converge from the left and develop into a musical waveform on the right, meeting at a shared point in the centre.

At IBM I work with technology. Alongside my professional life, I make music and contribute to artists’ projects and cultural initiatives. I am interested in what happens when people with very different experiences come together.

Whether the subject is technology, a rehearsal or a concert, I want to understand what matters to the people involved. For me, good ideas often emerge through conversation. I particularly enjoy helping to turn those ideas into something tangible.

come together.

Technology &
Collaboration

Professional background · IBM

I am interested in technology where it makes a practical difference: making information easier to understand, helping people work together and turning requirements into sound decisions.

One publicly documented contribution is my involvement in the position paper on product lifecycle management produced through Germany’s Strategic Industry Dialogue.

Music &
Management

Dierks Studios · Uli Jon Roth · Sky Guitars

For me, music is both artistic expression and collaborative work. Projects involving Dierks Studios and Uli Jon Roth bring these two aspects together.

I am particularly interested in how musical craft and new technical possibilities complement each other, and in creating the right conditions for an artistic idea to develop.

Culture &
Community

Rockinitiative · Kulturnetzwerk · Kulturpartner Rhein-Erft

As chair of Rockinitiative Pulheim, I support musicians and places where cultural life can thrive. This involves organising projects and events and working with people across the local community.

Through Kulturnetzwerk Pulheim and as a member of the executive board of Kulturpartner Rhein-Erft, my involvement extends beyond individual events. It is about bringing people together, widening participation and sustaining a vibrant cultural scene.

Guido Leidheuser in conversation

Listen first.
Then think further.

Sometimes a simple question takes us further than a polished presentation. I value people who share what they know, ask openly and make room for another point of view.

That is what makes the meeting of technology, music and culture so interesting to me.

More happens together.

Culture grows through collaborationMusic, cultural spaces, ideas, encounters, diversity and remembrance form a shared network. Togetherness is at its heart. MusicCultural spacesIdeasEncountersDiversityRemembrance Togetherness
People contribute ideas. Together, they bring them to life.

Good conversations start
with a good question.

Three subjects I enjoy exploring with people from business, universities, public institutions and music.

What can businesses learn from art and culture?

Art and culture open up different perspectives, challenge familiar assumptions and create room to experiment. I am interested in how businesses can benefit when people look more closely, welcome different viewpoints and develop new ideas together. What changes when artistic thinking becomes part of everyday working life?

Where can AI genuinely support creative craft?

In the studio, the question becomes very practical: what can technology improve, and which decisions remain artistic? The discussion extends beyond music to questions of quality, understandable results and the value of experience.

How does knowledge become shared practice?

Knowledge often already exists, but is spread across people and systems. What does it take to turn it into collaboration? For me, it starts with listening and a shared understanding of what should work better in the end.

Different experiences make a conversation interesting.

A visit to Dierks Studios

I guided the visiting group through the studios. The German Tonmeister Association (VDT) reported on the visit and the exchange about analogue and digital audio technology.

Die fidelen Senioren.
Punk rock with a point of view.

With Die fidelen Senioren I take to the stage on guitar. Playing together means responding to each other, making space and being there at the right moment.
